Electroheads Electric Scooter Review

Which? Electric scooter review

In Which?'s January 2022 review, they found the Decent scooter to be one of the lightest they had tested, mentioning it was relatively easy to fold down and was no slouch over their 60m speed test. Read the full review on their site.

Class LEading Comfort

Want a smoother, more stable ride? When it comes to tyre size we believe that bigger is better. The Decent One is fitted with huge 10-inch diameter pneumatic tyres that soak up bumps and take the fatigue out of longer rides. Fitted with easily accessible 'car' type valves, they can easily be inflated without fiddly extra adaptors. Should a puncture occur, the tyres and inner- tubes are readily available and simple to fit.

Removable battery

Want to extend your range? Can't get your scooter near a plug? You can remove the One's battery in seconds, with no tools. Charged in under 3 hours, these light, inexpensive batteries allow you to have a spare topped up (externally from the scooter) always ready to go. With a drop-in fitting and two capacities available, your range is only limited to how many you can carry!

Decent Performance

In sport mode, the 350w front-mounted hub motor powers the scooter up to its top speed of 15.5mph in seconds. Load-dependant, it can cope with hills up to 20%. Three user selectable drive modes with speed limits of 6mph, 9mph and 15.5mph respectively, can be combined with the scooters cruise control function, to aide you in maximising the range from each battery.

All The Essentials

This is a no-nonsense scooter. It overlooks the metallic paint, smartphone apps and exotic materials, instead opting to deliver the experience for an affordable price. It retains all the essentials such as front & rear mudguards, mechanical brakes, lights, a bell, soft footplate and hand grips, sticky tyres, a thumb throttle and a bright LED display showing speed, mode and battery capacity.

RIDE SAFELY

The One features a triple-braking system with a electronic brake on the front hub motor, a mechanical disc brake on the rear wheel plus a friction-brake rear mudguard for emergencies. A custom rubber footplate and soft rubber hand grips keep you locked to the scooter whilst soft compound tyres and a long wheelbase offer fantastic traction and stability. These alongside a bright LED headlight and rear LED brake light make the Decent One a safe choice.

Simple Folding Mechanism

Weighing only 13kg, it is one of the lighter scooters around. It can be folded down in seconds and easily carried in one hand by the main tube. At just 108cm long, it can be stowed under a train seat and fits neatly in the boot of even compact cars. The handlebar grip ends can even be unscrewed should you wish to minimise its width to fit in tight spaces such as lockers.
